Applying.

Where it all begins...
A dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep. Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true.

So this journey starts with applying to this fabulous land!  For me, this desire started in grade 12, Disney is a dream place for me and somewhere that I have made some of my best memories. But due to some circumstances I decided to go to school first and see what that gave me.  It gave me a lot of insight on who I am but there was one thing that I needed to do while I was still young, and that was to go work in Disney, it was always on my mind and I found myself continuously looking on the website so I gave into my everlasting desire and went for my dream of all dreams!
At last, July 18th, 2012 I went for the dream that would always be mine, and it started with a few clicks on the computer.

The steps to take...

1.  Go online to yummyjobs.com
2.  Scroll down until you find "Work Opportunities"
3.  Find the "Canadian Cultural Representative" opportunity and read the program details to make sure you're in the right spot
4.  Before you hit apply now, you have to create a YummyJobs account that has all of your information and a PDF of your resume
5.  After you have an account, you can go back into the "Canadian Cultural Representative" opportunity and hit "Apply Now"

You have now created a profile that is sent to the YummyJobs representative that works with the Disney Recruitment Reps.  They assess and review all the applications and while they were doing that... I was playing the waiting game!

About a week later I received an email from YummyJobs thanking me for my interest and saying that they'd like to consider me for the next step! WHOOOOO!  I was told that in about 4-6 weeks I would receive an email detailing the next step of the application process.

So here we go, another waiting game!
- Most people hate waiting games, but for an opportunity like this, you learn to love the little pauses you receive, it gives you time to realize that it is real!

So, early in September I received my next email which brought me even closer to STEP TWO: THE TELEPHONE INTERVIEW.
